Flexsteel Industries - Absolute garbage
Ordered a custom Flexsteel recliner and love seat from our local furniture store. After waiting 3 months, they delivered this crap.
It would receive a failing grade from a high school upholstery class.
Called the retailer and told them to come pick it up, we were not accepting it. He kept trying to let us have his upholsterer fix it right up. I told him no, it needed to be remade from the ground up. I wrote my name on the frame of both pieces before they went back.
Two months later, guess what? We got the same recliners back. I checked, and my name was on the frame. Sorry, fluffing up the caved in upholstery won't cut it.
So I threatened to involve Visa, which I used to pay the $3600 for these jokes of furniture, and he refunded my money. What a pathetic piece of work these are.
Reason of review: Damaged or defective.
Flexsteel Industries Cons: Quality of custom furniture, Retailer was not forthcoming about refund, But he finally gave us a refund.

I have the same issue, and that too was their fix. My Blake sofa and loveseat look like they were ten years old after two months in my house.
And my Flexsteel recliner has also been worked on has the motor had an issueโฆ.was gone several weeks, and had to wait from part to come from China. I have contacted Flexsteel and the place I purchased the setโฆnothing.
I unfortunately paid cash. I was thinking I was purchasing a quality product from a reputable company.
This is exaclty what my couch looked like when it was delivered. Flexsteel sells CRAP!
Their retailers lie about where it is made. I was told made in US. NOPE. Everything shipped to Mexico from China to be assembled.
Buyer beware. We are out 3000.00. Retailer not Flexsteel will make it right.
With all these nightmare stories why hasn't a class action been brought against Flexsteel. Consumers are being ripped off, steeling their hard earned money!!!!
Wow that is crazy! I ordered a flexsteel years ago and itโs the most industrial piece of furniture Iโve ever owned.
That couch looks like a resale beat up old couch. How they (store) even delivered that to you is boggling. I think Iโd complain about them on here too. But Iโll be honest, that is SO bad, I would almost be questioning if itโs a truly legit flexsteel couch.
Have you told manufacturer about it? I have a feeling they would be questioning the situation too. That company has been around for way too long to ship something that pathetic. Oh and in your flexsteel warranty, does it say it would have had warranty on the actual Cushions too?
I recall mine was 30 Years on the cushion and lifetime on the frame. I mean crazy long time.
I was just ready to by three flexsteel pieces! Yikes. Need to re-think!
I have had 2 sofa & chair sets from Flexsteel and LOVED them! the 1st was replaced because I no longer liked the color (should have had them recovered).
The 2nd, I stupidly gave away when I moved because I ran out of space on the moving truck. Stupid ex brought too much junk and didn't leave room for my furniture!
Should have gotten rid of him instead of my wonderful Flexsteel! I absolutely loved them and looking for a new set as soon as I'm settled after my last move.
1.5 year old fabric sofa. Fabric is a tweed with grey, brown, black and white.
Sitting area is fuzzy and fibers are wearing. Arm that is used more often looks worn and shaved. I should have gone with a Broyhill. Twenty year old sofa looks good, fabric is fresh and tight.
So disappointed with my Flexsteel. Cushions donโt hold shape either. Looking for a sofa cover.
A purchase I wish I never had made. So much for supporting a local business and โmade in Americaโ.
I fully agree with you. that is pretty much my experience too.
Flexsteel is not what it used to me. Warranty is not either.
