Junk buyer beware

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
We just got done paying off this furniture. The grey, supposed leather, is faded and cracking on the rocker, couch and loveseat. Would not recommend buying, I really don't think it's actual leather. This was expensive and is total junk.

The back and sides of the sofa and chair are vinyl and do not match the leather on the front. Its very obvious in normal lighting when the chair and sofa backs are visible. The furniture looks cheap because of this fault. I would never recommend Flexsteel.

Barely 2 years old leather seats on their Broadway Electric Loveseat in Shale color wore horribly. Over $2300 out the door you would expect I would get more use. This is in a non smoking 2 adult home. This seat cost me over $1000 a year to own. Customer service just kept referring me to place it was purchased who now won t even carry Flexsteel. They Do Not stand behind their product. Save yourself the aggravation. Looks good wears poorly.

I purchased a Flexsteel sofa for over $2000. It has excessive piling and the cushions are waving. Flexsteel says to shave it. I will be shaving nonstop and probably have no fabric left. It started after 6 weeks of use snd has steadily declined. This looks like I got it out of a dumpster. I have owned many pieces of furniture through the years and never have I experienced anything like this.

WE PURCHASED A RECLINING COUCH A YEAR AND A HALF AGO, WE PAID ABOUT $3000 AND THE MATERIAL HASN'T HELD UP. WE ARE AN ELDERLY COUPLE AND THE COUCH IS NEVER ABUSED, EVEN THE MIDDLE SEAT MATERIAL IS COMING APART NEAR THE ZIPPER IN THE BACK AND NO ONE SITS ON THAT PART.

WE CONTACTED THE FURNITURE STORE THAT WE PURCHASED THE COUCH FROM, THE STORE OWNER SUGGESTED WE CONTACT FLEXSTEEL DIRECTLY SINCE HE NO LONGER CARRIES THEIR PRODUCTS. WE CONTACTED FLEXSTEEL CUSTOMER CARE OF WHICH THEY TRANSFERRED US TO PARTS AND SERVICE. THE LADY WAS EXTREMELY RUDE AND SAID THAT THE MATERIAL WAS ONLY WARRANTED FOR THE FIRST YEAR SO THERE WAS NOTHING THAT THEY WOULD DO AND WE WOULD HAVE TO CONTACT SOMEONE TO GET IT REAPPOLSTERED.

WE EXPLAINED THAT THE MATERIAL SHOULD LAST LONGER THAN A YEAR ESPECIALLY SINCE IT IS RARELY SAT ON AND THAT WE HAVE PICTURES THAT WE COULD SEND. SHE DIDN'T WANT TO SEE THE PICTURES AND BASICALLY SAID IT WAS NOT THERE PROBLEM

Quality of leather and frame is low grade along with lousy customer care.

Flexsteel Industries - Quality of leather and frame is low grade along with lousy customer care.
Spent $8,250.00 on what was supposed to be top of the line Flexsteel sectional. Within a year the leather started looking like there was dirt imbedded in the leather. My wife took a rag and water and tried to wipe off the areas. The areas just got bigger throughout the entire sectional. Found out the dye is coming out of the leather.

We had exactly the same experience. All Flexsteel did was pass the buck - offered no resolution whatsoever.

Their product used to be decent quality. Now it’s a piece of junk.

NEVER buy CLOUD!!! Its nothing but a cheap, cheap, cheap memory foam that sags!!!

Feels great at first then you start sinking. You fall asleep like a baby, but sitting!!! It has thrown my back out multiple times that I had to see my chiropractor every week. I had to buy NEW CUSHION!!!

The sewing job was horrible!!! Threads everywhere when I tried to change my cushions!!!

I wish I never bought this, I even had custom fabric done Cry. The *** feather covering is too small for NORMAL 5 memory foam such as medium or high density; no wonder they call it it CLOUD how about a Cheap Foam to squeeze it in the covers!!!Angry

I also bought a rocker recliner two year ago and very disappointed. A round looking disc came off with small ball bearings and now I think it’s grinding and particles under chair.

All sorts of noises.

Not comfortable without adding some padding. A $1500 chair and having to deal with this.

Super comfortable but leather doesn't hold up

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I bought a power reclining sofa and matching chair. After about 5 years, one of the armrests on the sofa started cracking. A few months later I noticed the same on the headrest. Within a month, both areas completely wore through. I did some looking for a replacement and found that even relatively cheap imports have much thicker leather. Really a shame, as I like to buy US-made, and this furniture was super comfortable. But, one of the reasons for buying leather is longevity, and this was a disappointment in that regard.
Pros:
  • Styling and made in usa
Cons:
  • Leather too thin

Preferred solution: Nothing. I had the sofa and chair for 6 years. I'm disappointed but don't expect any company to stand behind a sofa and chair for 6 years. Just wish they had used a more durable, thicker leather.

User's recommendation: Sadly, buy a different brand... with thick leather!

We were in the market for new living room furniture. Flexsteel was HIGHLY recommended. We ordered a reclining sofa and chair and a half. Within 4 months, the back cushions are all lumpy, the sofa is uneven between sections, a definite wear pattern already exists, and the fabric on the back of the chair and a half is shredding near the bottom. Definitely not worth the money!
